What are seats?
Seats determine the maximum number of workers that can use the software at the same time.

For example, a team of 30 workers that is evenly split into three shifts (e.g. morning, day, night) would only require a 10 seat license.

You aren't paying per worker account, so there isn't a penalty for inviting everyone to participate: full-time staff, part-time contributors, interns, temps, contractors, partners, and volunteers.
Cerb is the result of more than 12 years of continuous innovation in web-based collaboration:
We've worked with over 18,979 organizations:
"Where others fail Cerberus delivers precisely what's needed. After spending only a short time with this product we knew we'd found the right one, quite simply Cerberus has given us the powerful communication tool we needed to rid ourselves of the disjointed communications that we experienced with using mail clients. Its introduction has been met with praise from our staff who have picked up the product with ease due to the intuitive and almost natural way that it works, all without a single hint of a complaint. Bottom line, Cerberus from implementation to operating environment has been straightforward, pain free and is capable enough to grow with our business - how many things in the I.T world can have the same said about them, not many!"
- Ross Jameson, I.T. Manager, TLG Brands Ltd (2012)
About Us
Webgroup Media, LLC. (WGM) is a commercial open source company that was founded in April 2001 to build web-based enterprise collaboration software. We're lean, profitable, and organically-bootstrapped. We share 100% of our source code due to our fundamental belief that bits and bytes have less value than experience and long-term, mutually advantageous relationships. Our client list is international and spans most industries, including governments, advocacy groups, political campaigns, educational institutions, charities, and businesses of all sizes.

We believe in commercial open source.

  • We've never felt entirely comfortable with tools that hide their source code -- so we share 100% of ours. Our code repositories on GitHub are world-readable.
  • There will always be people who bypass the license, steal code, or copycat concepts. We're not going to be paranoid about it and mistrust everyone.
  • Our collaborative community shares thousands of extra eyes and minds; shoddy work wouldn't make it past their constructive scrutiny.
  • If people have to be forced into financially supporting our project then we went very wrong somewhere.

We believe in agile development.

  • We're not interested in withholding useful improvements merely to have a more marketable announcement.
  • We aim to publish updates every few weeks based on community feedback.
  • We don't want to make hostages out of bug fixes and usability tweaks. We won't charge you for them.
  • All of our development and planning tools are open to the community.

We believe in platforms and toolkits.

  • There are hundreds of competing projects that are only interested in solving simple problems. We pick up where they left off.
  • We don't want to build schizophrenic software that forces everyone's opinions on everyone else.
  • We want you to see our work as a great starting point for the solution you've always wanted. We'll help you add the finishing touches.
  • People are used to asking what software wants them to do. We believe in taking the time to show people how to take back control.
  • It's rewarding to see people using our tools to solve problems we never anticipated in creative ways that we never thought of.

We believe software is art.

  • Encyclopedia Britannica defines art as "A visual object or experience consciously created through an expression of skill or imagination."
  • We feel so many other projects think art means "indulging fads with shiny interfaces".
  • Subtle beauty is important, but it looks like clown makeup when aesthetics try to hide a lack of depth. We invest heavily in usability, flexibility, stability, scalability, and maintainability.
